More Souls for Heaven

We had a good amount of folks here this morning. Lah Htoo who is pictured with my wife and Nan Mary got saved two Thursday nights ago and came as a visitor this morning. Lah Htoo speaks some English, but not entirely well enough to be led to Christ in English. Nan Mary translated for my wife to make sure she fully understands. She made a public profession this morning of having accepted Christ as her Saviour.

I also had the opportunity to talk to Saw this morning in order to make sure that he fully understands about trusting Christ. Saw is a Buddhist, but now has trusted Christ as his Saviour. He is thinking about getting baptized and I will be visiting with him this next week to tell him more about it. Saw also made a public profession of accepting Christ as his personal Saviour. Saw speaks limited English, so I had to use on of our ushers to translate in Burmese for me.

Our reaching of these Burmese refugees is a process. They are often times either Buddhist or professing Baptist that don't know that they are going to Heaven. Unfortunately the ones that have been Baptist have been taught that you only get baptized one time and never again. Of course, one baptism is good enough if you are truly saved. So I have to not only convince them of their need for Christ, but also un-teach what has been wrongly taught to them. Praise God for the success we have seen thus far.
