One of Our Students

This is one of my wife's English students; Mu Doh. My wife has a group of ladies that she teaches English to on Saturday afternoons. Mu Doh is one of her students and is learning more English all of the time. She also has been attending services at our church for the about a month now. She told my wife the story about how she had to flee her native country of Burma and the persecution she and her family faced. It gives one a greater appreciation for a chance to live in a free country like America. It has also given my wife a great amount of respect for her new found friend and student. Realizing that this sweet lady actually had family members get killed in the process of escaping begins to build a closer bond. We thank God for the opportunity to minister to such precious people like Mu Doh.

Some Good Helpers

Law, Ajal, and Daniel

This morning I used three young men out of the crowd while I preached to hold some signs up. The signs read, Spirit, Soul, and Body. I was illustrating the three parts of man. My helpers did a good job. After someone sent me the pictures of the sermon, I got to thinking how these young men demonstrate the diversity of our church. Law's family (who have been attending faithfully) are Karen people from Burma, Ajal is from Sudan, and Daniel and his family originate from Iran. It is interesting how the Lord has blessed me to be allow me to pastor such a diverse group of special people. This is what happens when you go for the masses. We don't care who they are or where they come from... We just go for souls!!!! Praise God for personal soul winning!!!!

Law demonstrates the spirit being dead in man

14 Years

Gigi getting baptized on Sunday!
This past Sunday we celebrated our churches 14th year anniversary. I came and started Lincoln Baptist Church on June 2, 2002. Over the years we have seen many blessings and gone through many trials and storms. However, this past year has been the most successful our church has ever been as we are starting to see phenomenal growth happen in our church. God is greatly blessing our "To Every Nation" program as we are seeing people reached from every corner of the globe right here in Lincoln. The offerings have never been more consistent and higher than they are right now. The crowds are growing larger ever week and the membership role is growing. This past Sunday alone we had over ten visitors. I thank God for the good things he is doing for us and for the great spirit we have among our people.
