Glorious Home Going

Brother Edward Fauth, one of our faithful members, went home to be the Lord on September 28, 2014. Let me tell you about it; it was our big day of our Sunday school campaign that morning and the Lord had really blessed our services with 13 making public professions of faith in Christ and 5 following the Lord in believers baptism. We came back to church Sunday night and had the service. It was a good service and after the invitation we dismissed and went downstairs for a potluck dinner.

Brother Fauth was seated downstairs waiting for the food to come out when he suffered cardiac arrest. Paramedics were summoned and an attempt to revive him was unsuccessfully made. However, he died a very peaceful death as he passed over the river to the shores of Heaven! Many wicked men have screamed as they died, most likely heading to the depths of Hell. Not our dear Brother Ed, he died a peaceful death and the arms of Jesus carried his soul over to Heaven! Praise God for Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour and His loving arms!

Brother Fauth was a faithful man at Lincoln Baptist Church. I came here and started this church in June 2002, and Brother Fauth was there from the beginning. Having been led to the Lord by our song leader Daniel Jager, he stayed faithful to all the services each week for all these years. Helped with building up keep for almost 11 of the first twelve and half years. Only his health stopped him from continuing to do so. He loved our church! He loved his pastor! I loved him!

In the picture he was giving out donuts and coffee like he always did on Sunday morning. He stayed faithful to that until he had another health set back about a month ago. He would always tell me to please not take him out of any of his jobs. He always wanted to keep doing them. I always let him know that they were his until he couldn't do them anymore. Thank God for faithful servants!

Although, he will be missed here at church, I fully believe it was the Lord's will for him to depart at this time. He also went in the Lord's way. He died here at church, just a few feet away from where he continually served every Sunday morning. We will celebrate the home coming of my brother and friend on Thursday morning at 10 AM. Please pray for the family to have comfort and for the funeral to go well. May God bless you one and all!

Week Three of Back to Sunday School

This is Bobby who I met out soul winning last Thursday night. It was really funny because as I was driving the soul winning bus this man had walked right across the street in front of us. Somebody sitting behind me said, "I have seen that guy all over town today, he must really cover some ground in his walking." We weren't going soul winning in that particular section, but much farther to the east, so I proceeded to our area and dropped everyone off. I then parked the bus so the rest of us could get off and go soul winning. As I parked the bus and began to get off, Bobby came walking out of on alley way and into another right in front of the bus. I was surprised to see him, so I flagged him down and gave him a Gospel tract. We were in a little bit of a different neighborhood from where we had seen him before. I witnessed to Bobby and he bowed his head and trusted Christ as his Saviour. Thank God for the opportunity to witness to this man we had seen just a little earlier in the night.

Our campaign weekend really starts on Thursday nights around here. This gives a boost of excitement into the weekend. This past Sunday we had multiple visitors and had several saved at the invitation. There were five public professions of faith made. It was another exciting week of our campaign and I look forward to making our biggest push for this last weekend. Please pray for us to have record setting attendance this weekend.

Week 2 of Our Sunday School Campaign

Week two of our "Back to Sunday School" campaign was a very good week. We had ten visitors total with several coming to Christ at the invitation. Susie pictured at the top was on of my mother's converts as well as Deleta pictured directly below Susie. Both followed the Lord in believer's baptism. Susie's daughter Betty also got baptized, along with a convert I picked up named Mary Ann.

We had a couple from Cameroon also come forward at the invitation and trust Christ as their Saviour. They came because of a tract left on their door. Never under estimate the importance of leaving a tract behind. Total we had 6 public professions of faith made and 4 follow the Lord in believer's baptism on Sunday morning. There were 53 on our two buses and 136 total in attendance. God is good.

Then on Sunday night we had Francisco come and visit our services. At the invitation our assistant pastor went to speak to him and discovered that he need a little Spanish help. So one of our fine soul winners, Bro. Gaiser, was summoned. (Bro. Gaiser can speak Spanish.) He was then led to Christ by Bro. Gaiser and followed the Lord in believer's baptism. So we finished the day with 7 public professions being made and 5 baptisms. It was a great second week and now we start working toward a third one. Please pray for us to have a great weekend!

Week One of our Sunday School Campaign

We had the first week of our campaign which is called "Back to Sunday school. We ran two buses for the first time and brought in 56 riders including the workers. Overall we had 146 in Sunday school and 35 saved for the entire week. There were four public professions of faith made with three adults following the Lord in believers baptism.
Everyone is excited about the buses. We have had a bus route and a van route for several years, but this is the first time we actually ran two buses. I am actually using the van now to start a third "route" by picking up adult converts and a few Karen children that live in the way south part of town. Please pray for us as we continue to reach folks in Lincoln, Nebraska the Midwest gateway to the Eastern world. Somebody say Amen!
