This weekend we had Missionary Manny Sinoy with us. He has been a missionary in Mae Sot, Thailand for 14 years. He is doing a great work for the Lord there and is currently in the states for a few months to help raise some support for his orphanage and school.
He went visiting and soul winning with me all day Saturday. I was able to lead five to Christ and he had three saved himself. Praise God for soul winning missionaries. I let him preach on Sunday night and he did a fantastic job!
God really blessed our day with 138 in Sunday school. We had 31 riders on the Karen route and 38 on the other bus route. There were many visitors that came. At least eight first time adult visitors were present. We also had a total of 20 Karen adults come. Please pray for us as we are getting ready to start a Karen Sunday school class in the next month. I am finalizing some things with a potential interpreter for us to use in the class. It is a great need as the Karen population is taking over a large section of our church neighborhood.
God truly blessed the morning invitation time as we had three public professions of faith made and two follow the Lord in believer's baptism. Then the evening service was capped off with a fellowship dinner afterwards. Thank God for His everlasting goodness to our church.

New Karen Dresses
I got my two youngest daughters some new Karen dresses last night at the Karen Asian Market. They were so excited about it. The timing seemed just right since we had a huge day on our Karen route. We had 31 riders come and many of their parents drove in later for the morning service. I praise God for the opportunity to reach these precious souls. Seeing the route full caused me to thinking about some of the adults we have in our church who have overcome great adversity and persecution to be here in America. I have included pictures of some of them this week so I hope you will take a look at them and thank God for how good he has been to you!
These wonderful ladies have faced a lot of opposition getting to America from Africa. Yet, they manage to come to church each week with a smile on their face. I wonder if it is because they know Jesus as their Saviour!
These ladies escaped persecution in Burma to make it to Thailand and finally to America. If you only knew the stories of what they have been through and how they escaped, it would give you a better appreciation for the Grace God gave to you by allowing you to be born in America!

Our overall attendance was a little lower today with only 103 in Sunday school. However, there were several visitors and return visitors this morning. I look forward to making some new additions to our church as we continue our soul winning efforts this next week!

A Little Dinner Conversation
I have included several pictures this week in my blog from the weekend. However, I want to tell you about my friend Pau (pronounced Pow). He is Zomi from Chin State in Burma and has been in America since 2008. I met him last Fall while out soul winning and he has visited my church several times. This past Saturday night I had him over to my house to eat some grilled steak and mashed potatoes. I had presented the Gospel to him before, but wanted a chance to visit with him about his salvation some more. I was able to give him a very detailed Gospel presentation and discuss many things about different religions with him. Pau did not get saved, but is definitely thinking about his need to accept Christ as his Saviour. Please pray for Pau and his salvation.
On Saturday my wife and I had the privilege of meeting Eh Gay Moo's wife Ter Kaw Why. We used her husband to translate for us so we could witness to her. We discovered that she has already accepted Christ as her Saviour. We were very pleased to see them come to church together on Sunday. Please pray for this couple, because we are in great need of Karen couples in our church that actually attend together. Plus, Eh gay Moo's speaks excellent English and could be greatly used of the Lord!
Some of the girls on the Karen route were sporting new skirts and tops this Sunday, so we took their pictures and included some of them. Overall we had a fair attendance day with 113 in Sunday school. We had multiple visitors from various backgrounds including a lady from Congo who got one of our French Gospel tracts last Thursday night and came. My wife greeted her and directed her to some of our Congolese members so they could help translate for her. Our assistant pastor witnessed to her at the invitation and she told him she has already trusted Christ. (Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to take a picture with her this morning.)
We also had some Ukrainian visitors this morning come to my adult Sunday school class, however, they didn't stay for church. I do look forward to following up on them. I was thinking this afternoon how the missionary we had here a few weeks back told me that we are in the middle of mission field here in Lincoln. He is right! We truly are in a mission field. I had six saved last Thursday night and two of them were Karen, two from Ethiopia, and then two Americans. Then Saturday I had three more people saved from Burma. Praise God! We have the world at our finger tips! Now we must do something with it!

Dog Days of Summer

Missionary Inman and Eh Gay Moo |
We also saw several visitors from last week return. One of those was Eh Gay Moo who was led to Christ last weekend by Missionary Chad Inman. Eh Gay Moo is very sharp and is a graduate from the University of Myanmar. He has much potential for the Lord. He can speak English very well, as well as Burmese and Karen. Please pray for his spiritual growth and that we can reach his wife for Christ.
