A Great Week and Weekend

It was a great week and weekend here at Lincoln Baptist Church. My wife, two youngest daughters along with myself had our first language lesson in Burmese from an actual teacher this week. We have a tremendous burden to reach the large amount of people from Burma that are living in our community. I was very stirred several months back when I was out soul winning on several occasions and kept running into white people from "the cults" in our town that are able to speak these languages and are making an extremely strong effort to reach these people with their brain washing techniques. I figured if they can make the effort to do it for the devil's religion than I can make the effort to do it for Jesus Christ!

On Sunday we had lots of first timers come. I was excited to see the Looper family have a visiting couple come with their children. Please pray for the Jordan family. They were recently saved and made a public profession of faith in Christ on Sunday. Pray for the spiritual growth of their family.

The Karen route that my wife and I run on Sunday mornings had the largest amount of riders we have ever had yet. We had so many that there had to be two trips made to fit them all in. There were 21 riders in two van loads. God is blessing this ministry. My hope and desire is that we will be able to see some of these people not only reached, but eventually grow enough to help us reach more of their Karen people. We had four first time riders this week and two more repeat first time riders from last week come again. Praise God!

My family had a chance to visit with the Strilkivsky family on Saturday evening for a little while. It was enjoyable to have a time of fellowship with this family. They are from the Ukraine and have attended our Sunday schools for several years now. Most of their children have gotten saved through our church. Praise the Lord for a church with outreach. God loves the souls of men no matter where they are from or what color their skin is. We must continue our efforts to reach fine families for the cause of Christ!

Ready for the Printer

We have been busy translating tracts into different languages. Mrs. Gaiser a faithful Sunday school teacher in our church has translated our new Spanish tract and it is now ready to send to the printer. We also, now have a Burmese language tract ready to send to the printer as well. Two Ka'ren men in our church have translated that tract for us. We are excited to get these tracts to the printer and have a bunch made up to help us more effectively reach our city for Christ. I am thankful for the help of our members in getting it into these different languages. We have a French tract as well as Swahili under construction right now too. Soon those will be ready for production! Praise God!

Our overall day was a good one. We had 127 in Sunday school today with four public professions of faith being made and one following the Lord in believer's baptism. We had 40 in attendance on Sunday night with two University students that were visiting coming forward and trusting Christ as their Saviour. They then followed the Lord in believer's baptism. Praise the Lord!
